- This is a presentation I gave on 5G to the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club in 2021.
What’s all this 5G stuff, anyhow? - The ABCs of Smith Charts — An animation that you can comprehend
- Beyond the ABCs of Smith Charts — Here we venture another step into the Smith Chart
- In 2020 I gave a presentation to the Cascades Amateur Radio Society on the NanoVNA.
The NanoVNA–God’s Gift to Amateur Radio - Many years ago the Boeing Television Studio made a video of me showing a lab procedure for measuring the transistor bulk base resistance.
- Have you ever wondered why the J-Pole antenna works. The common explanation is that the feed-point is a transformer which feeds the radiating element. That is hard to digest. I made an animation taking what I think is a better perspective.
- Here is a presentation that I did to the Cascades Amateur Radio Society on designing a tuning stub. I gave this presentation a couple of months after first becoming a ham. I think that I would have some fine tuning for it today.
- Did you ever wonder what in the heck “characteristic impedance” was all about.
- Here is a presentation that I gave to the Cascades on Feedline Analytics (a long time ago).
- An actual member of the Cascades else gave an absolutely phenomenal presentation to the Cascades he entitled Radio Rocks. Dave is a retired geologist and presents the evolution of the crystal for radio. This is not the usual “…somebody stands beside a whiteboard and talks.” Check it out.
- I made a YouTube animation on using the Smith Chart to solve phase questions. Watch the video. You will see that this is NOT rocket science.
I have more stuff to add from presentations I have done in the past. I will add some of them when I get some time.
